Habit 1 – Be Proactive!
Habit 1: Be Proactive is about taking charge of your life. People who are proactive know that they’re “responsible.” They don’t attribute their actions to external factors. They realize they have control over a situation. Conversely, those who are reactive are frequently impacted by their physical surroundings. They attribute their actions to outside forces. They feel better if the weather is nice. If it isn’t, it impacts their performance and attitude, and they attribute it to the weather.
The one thing I’ve learned from Habit 1 is to Focus and act on what you can control and influence instead of what you can’t. Instead of finding solutions, you begin to create new problems by worrying about the problems around you, which makes it difficult for you to give your all.
I apply the seven habits every day, and habit one is my favourite because it serves as the foundation for all of your deeds and ideas. You frequently utilise but hardly ever notice this habit. An easy illustration of this behaviour is completing your assignments on time or ahead of schedule.
Let me ask if someone else is angry… Is it your fault? If it is raining… is it your fault? No, it isn’t, so there is no reason for you to ruin your mood and go on about having a bad day. You should know that you control your own weather and mood, not someone else’s.
