” Life after a long time was cheerful and exciting for Pearl. However, she didn’t realise that this happiness won’t last long.”<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Going to school every day and spending time with Aiden gave her the only serenity she currently had. Having not seen Natasha for a week, she felt lonely and guilty about not spending more time with her. But this was the kind of loneliness she was used to\u2014the kind where someone made her feel so cheerful and special but then left her. She tried to talk to her, but when Natasha made up her mind about something she would stick to it. And it seems like this time Natasha had made up her mind to not talk to Pearl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One evening<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pearl had just come home and was surprised to see her mum putting dishes on the dining table. The dishes were too many for the four of them. Being curious she asked, \u201cMum, Are we expecting guests?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh hi! Yes didn\u2019t Aiden tell you?\u201d Replied Mrs Woods, with a lovely smile on her face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTell me what?\u201d Asked pearl <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAiden and his parents are coming home for dinner, stupid!\u201d Said Ady, playfully hitting Pearl\u2019s head<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOuch! Ady you\u2019re soo dead! Come here\u2026\u201d Excalimed Pearl running after him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both of them are running around the dining table. Laughing Ady goes behind his mother and hides. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cStop being a baby Ady\u2026 how dare you call me stupid? \u201d Said Pearl still trying to hit Ady<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh! Enough you two. Pearl go get freshened up, and Ady stop being so mean to your elder sister!\u201d Said Mrs Woods exasperated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stomping her feet loudly, Pearl goes to her room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Dinner<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis Steak is amazing Mrs woods! Your hands are magical.\u201d Exclaimed Aiden earning a heartwarming smile and a soft giggle from her<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cStop buttering her up Aiden\u2026 So Pearl how are you? What are you up to these days?\u201d Said Mrs Quinn<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c Fine Aunty. I\u2019ve been planning\u2026.\u201d Replied Pearl<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone has dinner, indulged in conversations, laughter and the amazing company of one another. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After dinner, the mothers clean the table while talking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve raised an incredible girl Pia\u201d Says Mrs Quinn<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve raised an amazing boy yourself Reah\u201d Replies Mrs Wood<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s weird how time runs so fast, it seems like yesterday we were dropping them in playgroup, and now they\u2019re going to be graduating in a year!\u201d Said Mrs Quinn<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIndeed! I just wish our kids always remain the best friends that they are! The bond they have is truly unique\u2026 two years of gap and such a friendship! \u201d Said Mrs wood <\/p>\n\n\n\n
