Phew, it’s been so<\/em> long since I\u2019ve updated my blog! Life\u2019s been chaotic, and moving to a new place where you barely know anyone is\u2026 weird. I was kinda scared of starting over, making new friends, proving myself to teachers, but at the same time, I\u2019d never been more excited. This was my chance to reinvent myself.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back in 9th-10th grade, I was really introverted, weighed down by social anxiety, and frankly afraid of trying anything new. I tried too hard to fit in with the wrong set of people, made numerous mistakes, and failed a lot.<\/em> I lost friends, gained friends, went through all the normal teenage drama; but you know what I didn\u2019t do? Have fun.<\/em><\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fast forward to right now. Here in this school, no one knew me. That gave me a fresh start to become someone new, someone who was confident, adventurous, and unapologetically herself. And trust me, it isn\u2019t easy. I had to navigate working on myself while studying hard. But it\u2019s been worth it. Sure, I\u2019m still a mess at times; yes, I still freak out over random things. But I love how these past few months have unfolded. I\u2019ve made mistakes and bombed a few exams, but hey, isn\u2019t that just life?…<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few days ago our school took us on a trip to an amusement park, and that’s when I truly realised that I had changed as a person<\/em>, I was no longer the quiet, cautious girl. That girl didn’t laugh aloud, skip\u00a0around, dance with friends, or live so freely. And now?<\/mark><\/em> I do all of that, and I adore this new version of myself.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When i sat on the bus with my best friend, on the way back home, I took a minute to realise how much having a few people who believe in you, who love who you are, can absolutely transform you in ways you never thought possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, to anyone reading this: learn to let go and go with the flow.<\/strong> <\/mark><\/em> It starts off by taking baby steps, be carefree, don’t be scared to venture outside of your comfort zone, embrace the turmoil, take chances, because at the end of the day, it’s about progress, not perfection, AND have more confidence in yourself; because if you don\u2019t look out for you, then who will?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remember: Every setback, uncomfortable situation, and novel encounter moulds us into the people we were destined to be.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
